Relaxation Station

Want to feel the stress of the world lift away from your body one muscle at a time...  lay in a hammock. I had forgotten how relaxing this little invention is. My husband and I both have stressful jobs, and busy lives, so when I was trying to think of the perfect Father's Day gift this year, I wanted to do something different. For the man that has everything, the gift of stress relief. To my surprise, I have enjoyed it as much as him, maybe even more. Just tonight, our 2-year-old was fussy and I asked if he wanted to go outside and get in the hammock. We relaxed there looking up at the dusky sky, and birds flying in a perfect V formation. It was a sweet mommy-son bonding moment and immediately seemed to relax us both. I think it's the best Father's Day present I've ever purchased myself... I mean my wonderful husband.

  1. Hmmm. One Father's Day I received an XM Radio because it came with a coupon for a second unit free for the wife. Another Father's Day I received a subscription to Ancestry.com. Guess who wound up using that the most? I guess you could say some gifts are meant for one person, but we all know who really wants them.

  2. Funny, but I really did have him in mind when buying the hammock. I just made the mistake of "trying it out" and now it's one of my favorite places to hang out and relax, but I don't keep him from relaxing there.

  3. What a wonderful moment for you and he--something you will remember forever :) Hey, and don't forget to snap photos to go along with all of these great stories! (I deleted the last comment because I wasn't thinking and used his name :(

  4. It's totally ok Barbara. I used it in one of the articles I wrote on Divine Caroline too. I may eventually change my mind. Right now the only people following me are those that actually know me. But, because of my job, I have lots of FB friends on my work account that I do not personally know. I'm just extra cautious for now. I may loosen up.
